This is great!. I just shared with my husband. We do have share hobbies, but we don't really make enough time for them and each other in a busy week. So I love the intentionality of this.
Steven and I fall into the same trap . . . making the time. The theater helps, but we want to get better with focusing on "us" even in the middle of busy!
We’re both retired, so one would think we would not find it a challenge to set aside time to share a mutual hobby! We’re both creative people and when we’re working on something we can get caught up in it and focus on getting it finished, pushing aside everything else, including housework, meal prep, and, oh, time together! Our solution: start the day with coffee (tea, for me) and devotional time, reading a psalm and holding hands, praying for each other, our family, and our day. We don’t always succeed in this, but remain determined to be consistent, knowing how valuable that 15 or 20 minutes is for setting the tone for our day.
